Date: 2010-12-29 05:14 am (UTC)No Sleep Tonight was such an easy choice. I have a number of songs I usually fall back on for just, you know, the walking streak of sex angle, but this one had that nice playful edge.

Date: 2010-12-29 05:10 am (UTC)Glad even the liner notes were inspiring...I do like to ramble, but I always want to know why mixers choose certain songs, so I feel I might as well shed a little light on my own song choices. I love hearing what songs other people hear in their heads for their favorite tale/scene too.

Date: 2010-12-28 09:31 pm (UTC)I managed to work around it by opening the file up in WinRAR and changing the folder names to remove the ellipses - if you use this method, keep in mind that there are two to change: /Wherever You Are.../ and /_MACOSX/Wherever You Are.../

Date: 2010-12-29 05:21 am (UTC)This should hopefully now be fixed (I've replaced that track and reuploaded.) So, if you download again, it should be all set!
Sorry to make you download it all again -- would y'all prefer to have individual song files? I'm never sure...the zip file just seemed easiest at the time.

Date: 2011-01-16 11:56 pm (UTC)I always feel more people should remember/rediscover Better Than Ezra. The man can sing, and...if you ever seem them live, he has remarkably potent sex appeal. Remarkable hips. Ahem.

Date: 2011-02-18 10:15 pm (UTC)But then, I found it lurking on my hard drive the other day and FINALLY gave it a listen and I have to say that it's absolutely and completely brilliant.
I listened to it without looking at your liner notes but there were so many songs that I just automatically associated with various moments in the fics - and when I DID take a look at your liner notes, I chuckled because you made me see (hear?) it so clearly that I kept saying "Oh yeah! That's exactly what I thought of when I listened to the song too!"
It really was just a perfect blend of everything that gyzm's stories are. Sweet but not cloying. Snarky but not mean. Hot and sexy as hell but romantic and beautiful too.
I was dancing around my apartment to your mix on V-Day, and it lifted those "needing-to-study-when-everyone-else-is-out-having-a-good time" blues.
Thanks for sharing!

Date: 2011-02-19 12:53 am (UTC)First off, I'm glad you were able to recover it -- I hate it when I'm searching through my music and being like, "I know it's here somewhere...argh!"
It's great to know that you could follow the path of the stories through the songs even without the liner notes, especially given the randomness of how many songs I ended up with per story and moment. I know I can do that, but it's exciting to know that the links are clear enough that readers can find all the beats.
I'm so glad it helped lift your V-Day blues too -- I know that experience all too well. Thanks so much for letting me know how you enjoyed the mix!
Your icon is reminding me I need to go fedora shopping. And tie shopping. Must get on that...:D
