Note: This mix started without a particular fic focus -- it was just an Arthur/Eames BAMF action mix. It was supposed to be the opposite of the last mix I created forgyzym's stories Wherever You Will Be (That's Where I'll Call Home). No more love songs! All badassery all the time! Any hint of sappiness? Rejected!
And then I readsho_no_tabi's stories. And I focused. Helpful, of course, because it made me weed out songs and zero in on a theme. And it let me be a little more romantic when the stories called for it...which was satisfying. Mainly, though, as always, this was my way to express my enthusiasm and appreciation for a wonderful universe of stories that truly fired my imagination.

Date: 2011-02-20 01:00 am (UTC)It's funny, too, because I kept putting Mr. Pinstripe Suit on the mix, and then taking it off, and then putting it on again. It felt too chipper, sometimes, but then it kept coming back to me, and I decided that this image of Arthur as a reserved, emotionally cold character was one, just not true to the canon and two, not true in your stories. I love the sense of humor Arthur has, and so...it ultimately stayed.
