Note: This mix started without a particular fic focus -- it was just an Arthur/Eames BAMF action mix. It was supposed to be the opposite of the last mix I created for gyzym's stories Wherever You Will Be (That's Where I'll Call Home). No more love songs! All badassery all the time! Any hint of sappiness? Rejected!

 And then I read sho_no_tabi's stories. And I focused. Helpful, of course, because it made me weed out songs and zero in on a theme.  And it let me be a little more romantic when the stories called for it...which was satisfying.  Mainly, though, as always, this was my way to express my enthusiasm and appreciation for a wonderful universe of stories that truly fired my imagination.

I'm so glad you're excited. I do have a wide ranging taste in music, and this mix stretched it all a bit (mainly because I've already done 2 other mixes related to this fandom, and I'm trying REALLY hard not to repeat myself...)

On Suburbia -- yep, it really doesn't fit for Brick in and of itself (and now I'm like...what WOULD fit for Brick? Hmmmm...perhaps the seed of a whole other mix...it's a sickness, I tell you!) I too have been a wee bit obsessed with Brick at times. This song felt right for the regret that Arthur has, for looking back, and for what could have been but was taken away. Also, I think Arthur, with that back story and with Mal's loss, must just have some incredibly long-lasting memories that just sneak up on him.

Hmmm, that's a good question -- what would fit for Brick? I WOULD NOT BE SAD SHOULD THIS QUESTION PROMPT YOU TO MAKE ANOTHER MIX. That main theme (Emily's theme) is so lovely and haunting; I loved it so much I made it my cell phone ringtone (which previously was the Portal radio mix and which I had not changed for 3 years, lol).

Icon love! And then I'd have to watch it again! Such a hardship. I went back and reviewed it after seeing Inception and my love for JGL was rekindled (and I still feel slightly ashamed that I now find him hot in Brick...but only slightly.)

I've taken to using Brick quotes as my status message for chat...it makes me feel all clever and razor sharp. And it helps on days when I kind of wish I could punch people.

Hmm. HMMMM. I shall contemplate.

Ahahah it's so true. SO MUCH is quotable! And has the added bonus of being slightly incomprehensible to anyone who isn't familiar with it! Or just sounding pretentiously snarky, which definitely has its place!

I don't know if I have a problem with finding him hot in Brick, but that kiss between him and Laura! IT IS SMOKING. AND SO VERY WRONG. BUT SO VERY SMOKINGLY HOT.

Um, so, ahaha, do you mind if I friend you? Because clearly if you do end up fanmixing for Brick I would die if I didn't see it! (Also, ahaha you're a Due South fan? These are like the only fandoms I write for... dS/C6D, Inception, and Brick...)

I love how incomprehensible it is to folks who have no idea, and also...pretentious snark ALWAYS has a place.

And yes on that kiss! Hnnng. Partially because I get distracted by his lovely hands, but...yes.

Please do friend me! And now that I know someone's out their waiting for a Brick fanmix...well, you know. All the more reason. \o/

Oh Due South! It's still one of my fav nostalgic fandoms to go back to. Callum Keith Rennie is never NOT hot, and...the banter! And it introduced me to so many wonderful Canadian things (Slings & Arrows!).
